Porter, J.:

The plaintiff’s husband while employed as a switchman was killed in the yards of the defendant at Parsons. She recovered a judgment in this action, from which the defendant appeals.

The facts briefly stated are these: There are sixteen tracks in defendant’s yards at Parsons which are numbered consecutively from 1 to 16. They are one-half mile long and eight of them connect with what is known as the “south lead” and the same number with what is known as the “north lead.” Track number 11 is set apart for the reception during switching…
