The land in question, consisting of sixty acres, was, on January 3, 1877, conveyed by Bernhart Hettiek and wife to plaintiff, and on the 16th day of April, 1877, plaintiff conveyed the same to his wife Mary, for the ex*178pressed consideration of $500.
