OPINION AND ORDER
MUKASEY, District Judge.
Petitioner Finamar Investors Inc. commenced this action under the Federal Arbitration Act, 9 U.S.C. § 4, seeking an order compelling respondent, The Republic of Tad-jikistan, to arbitrate a dispute arising out of respondent’s alleged rejection of a freight transport agreement. On February 4, 1994, this court entered an order compelling respondent to arbitrate the dispute with petitioner.
