This is a collision case between two vessels in which the libelant, Standard Shipping Company, owner of one of the vessels, the tanker Beacon, seeks to impose the sole liability for the collision upon the other vessel, the steamship City of Baltimore, charging that vessel, first, with being unseaworthy, and, secondly, with having been improperly navigated. By its cross-libel the Baltimore Mail Steamship Company, owner of the steamship City of Baltimore, seeks to impose sole liability on the Beacon, charging that this vessel was improperly navigated, and also…
