Thierry S. was declared a ward of the juvenile court after a finding was made that he was a person described in Welfare and Institutions Code section 602. 1 He appeals from the ensuing judgment (a dispositional order granting probation) and asserts on both statutory interpretation and constitutional grounds that his arrest without a warrant for an alleged misdemeanor was illegal because the offense was not committed in the presence of the arresting officer.
