Under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-5(e), a person seeking relief from employment discrimination is required to file a claim with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission within 180 days after the alleged discriminatory act has occurred.1 Under the Civil Rights *245Act of 1866, 42 U.S.C. § 1981,2 a person seeking relief from employment discrimination must file suit within the time allotted by the applicable statute of limitations.3 This appeal raises the question of whether the district court was correct in dismissing the suit by appellant…
