Appellants are 76 Bossier City firemen who sued the City of Bossier, the Mayor of Bossier City, and the Chief of the Bossier City Fire Department, seeking payment for all hours worked by them in excess of 40 hours per week subsequent to March 11, 1979. They assert their cause of action for payment of overtime wages of one and one-half times their hourly rate under the provisions of Ordinance # 120 of Bossier City.
