The plaintiff, Nelson Taylor, sues defendant, John J. Ellington, for damages for the loss of the stable and dwelling of Taylor, alleged to have been burned by the gross carelessness or imprudence of Ellington. The plaintiff in the second entitled suit, John J. Ellington, sues Taylor for damages alleged to have been caused by his slander, imputing to Ellington the burning of the property.
