The writ of certiorari was issued to review an award made to Nelson Smith, Jr., by commissioners appointed under chapter 537 of the Laws of 1893 and chapter 567 of the Laws of 1894. The claimant is the owner of premises fronting on the easterly side of Brook avenue between One Hundred and Sixty-first and One Hundred and Sixty-second streets and known as block No. 1348 and ward Nos. 3 and 24.
