This litigation' had its origin in a suit filed by Mr. Albert Price v. Mr. Center and Wife, praying for a partition of certain property in Washington county, Arkansas. In an answer filed by Mr. Center, appellant, J. L. Ward, was made a party. After several amendments by plaintiffs and other like pleadings had been filed, the action was tried, and a decree was rendered in favor of 'Center as against Price, and in favor of Center against Ward to recover four notes, three for $300 each and one for $189, which notes, at the time of the pleadings and trial, on account of the aggregate amount of…
