On May 15, 1930, Miss Laura Ferguson, a trained nurse, was killed by the overturning of an automobile owned by Mrs. Bleanora J. Faucette, while being driven by her husband, Hr. P. IT. Faucette. The casualty occurred on the Jackson highway about five miles south of Columbia. Mrs. Faucette was fatally injured and died the next day. Dr. Faucette was a surgeon residing in Columbia. He was called to Lawrenceburg to perform a surgical operation. Being requested to bring with him a trained nurse he engaged the services of Miss Laura Ferguson.
