I. BACKGROUND
The court took this case en banc to consider procedures and standards for the imposition of sanctions under Rule 11, Fed.R. Civ.P., as amended in 1983.1
*1554This case arose as a consequence of a suit in Georgia state court in which Jarrell Donaldson sought a divorce from his wife Jurldine Donaldson.
