This husband and wife had been married twenty-one years when they were divorced in January, 1989. They had one child, who by the time of the divorce had reached majority. The wife had been employed only sporadically outside the home during the marriage. She suffered from a variety of significant health problems, including Epstein-Barr syndrome, scoliosis and a perforated eardrum.
