Chapter 334 of the Private Laws of 1903, entitled “An Act to Incorporate the Augusta Water District,” authorized the Water District to acquire by purchase, or to take by the exercise of the right of eminent domain, the plant, property and francliises of the Augusta Water Company within such district and elsewhere.
