Student Loan Marketing Association, by and through its servicing agent, Sallie Mae Servicing, L.P. (SLMA), filed suit against Richard D. Hollis for default on seven separate promissory *542notes. These notes, in the principal amount of $83,730, were made available by the United States Department of Health and Human Services’ Federal Health Education Assistance Loan Program (HEAL).
