Respondent was admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York by this Court on February 8, 1982. At all times pertinent to this proceeding, he maintained an office for the practice of law within the First Judicial Department.

Now before us is the petition of the Departmental Disciplinary Committee (the Committee) seeking an order confirming the findings of fact and conclusions of law of the Referee and Hearing Panel, pursuant to 22 NYCRR 603.4 (d) and 605.15 (e), and adopting their recommendation to disbar respondent.
