The appellant, Bichard Archer, was indicted, tried and convicted in the Circuit Court of the Second Judicial District of Jones County on a charge of having willfully and feloniously neglected to provide for the support and maintenance of his two minor children of the ages of ten and three years, respectively, leaving them in necessitous circumstances.
