The State highway commissioner filed this suit in September, 1958, to condemn in fee simple 29 separate strips or parcels of land, averaging 2 1 /2 feet in width, lying along highway 460 in Buchanan county, to be used in connection with the widening of that part of the highway running through the town of Grundy and extending three or four miles south of the town, together with the right and easement to use additional parcels of land which were required for the proper execution and maintenance of the construction work.
