WISDOM, Circuit Judge:
This appeal from a final judgment against a longshoreman who brought suit under the Longshoremen & Harbor Workers Compensation Act, 33 U.S.C. § 905(b), to recover damages from an allegedly negligent shipowner raises two important questions of interpretation of that Act. The plaintiff was exposed to asbestos dust while offloading asbestos from the defendant’s vessels, and later contracted asbestosis.
