This case, like others preceding it, challenges the development of the 500 Boylston Street Project (project) in the Back Bay section of Boston. See Manning v. New England Mut. Life Ins. Co., 399 Mass. 730 (1987); Conservation Law Found, v. Director of the Div. of Water Pollution Control, 22 Mass. App. Ct. 544 (1986).
