In this case we consider the propriety of the trial court’s determination that documents withheld from discovery by defendants were not privileged under that part of the Code of Civil Procedure commonly known as the Medical Studies Act (735 ILCS 5/8 — 2101 et seq. (West 2000)) (the Act).
