CRAVEN, Chief Judge.

This is a civil action brought by nine Negro teachers and the North Carolina Teachers Association 1 against the Mor-ganton City Board of Education. The teachers and the Association seek to invoke the equitable jurisdiction of the court and allege that the School Board has denied reemployment as teachers to the individual plaintiffs and other Negro teachers, because of their being members of the Negro race, in violation of the due process and equal protection clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
