Pere Marquette Building Company (hereinafter called the Building Company), a corporation organized under the laws of the state of Delaware, erected an office building- upon certain property situated at the corner of Common and Baronne streets, in the city of New Orleans. The ground or lot upon which it was constructed belonged to the Soeiete Catho-liquo, a religious organization, and the Building Company was the holder thereon of a long-term lease, with rent payable semiannually on the 1st of April and October.
