Metro Tavern, Inc., a corporation, operator of a tavern and restaurant at 5502 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, under a D-5 night club liquor permit issued by the Ohio Department of Liquor Control, applied on April 5, 1957, for a renewal and re-issuance of this permit. On November 20, 1957, the renewal application was rejected by the Department, the rejection order stating that it was refused because of local objections and because the corporate secretary had been convicted in the United States District Court at Cleveland “recently” of a charge of illegal possession of…
