People Ex Rel. Ahlschlager v. Board of Review

On February 13, 1931, a petition was filed in the superior court of Cook county in the name of the People, on the relation of Walter Ahlschlager and twelve others, praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the board of review of Cook county to grant a hearing to the relators and other property owners of Cook county on the complaints which they had filed with that board as to the assessment of their real property for the year 1929 and to review and correct such real estate assessments as shall appear just.
