JOINER, Judge.

This Court’s opinion issued on April 17, 2015, is withdrawn, and the following opinion is substituted therefor. Dwayne Anthony Collier, Sr. (“Dwayne”),1 was convicted of first-degree hindering prosecution, see § 13A-10-43, Ala.Code 1975.2 Dwayne was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment; that sentence was split, and he was ordered to serve one year and one day imprisonment followed by three years’ probation. Dwayne was ordered to pay a $50 crime-victims-compensation assessment and court costs. We reverse the conviction and render a judgment of acquittal…
