The bill in this case was brought under that clause of the act of 1881 which declares “the taxes upon real property, together with all penalties, interest and costs that may accrue thereon, shall be a prior and first lien on such real property, superior to all other liens and incumbrances, from and including the first day of May in the year in which the taxes are levied until the same shall be paid, which lien may be foreclosed in equity in any court of competent jurisdiction, in the name of the People of the State of Blinois, whenever the taxes for two or more years, upon the same…
