The mother and the father are the parents of a son born in California on July 5, 2001. Pursuant to an order of custody and visitation dated July 19, 2006, entered on consent, the mother was awarded custody of the child, with visitation to the father. In May 2007, the father filed a petition alleging that the mother had violated the July 19, 2006, order by cancelling and otherwise interfering with visitation.
