Dennis L. Richard appeals his convictions and sentences for one count of aggravated kidnapping, one count of rape, and one count of battery. Defendant claims the trial judge (1) violated his Sixth and Fourteenth Amendment rights by allowing sheriff’s officers to photograph defense witnesses, believed to be gang members, as they exited the courtroom following their testimony and by later refusing to poll the jury to determine the extent of the prejudice caused by the sheriff’s officers’ activity; (2) suppressed evidence essential to the…
