In January 2014, Glenn Edwin Rundles was charged under two separate’ indictments with burglary of a habitation1 and aggravated robbery.2 Each indictment contained an enhancement paragraph alleging a prior felony conviction, resulting in enhancement of the punishment x'ange in each case.3' In the course of pretrial *733proceedings,4 Rundles brought the issue of his competence to stand trial to the court’s attention, which eventually culminated in a hearing before a jury.
