The partnership firm of L. Lineberger ■& Co., constituted of Lewis Lineberger, J. Laban Lineberger, C. J. Lineberger and Moses H. Rhine, owned and conducted a mill for the manufacture of cotton goods, and in connection with the business, a grist and saw-mill, a blacksmith’s shop, and a store for the sale of goods, situated in the county of Gaston. The intestate, Laban, was the general business agent in the purchase of supplies, the sale of goods, and the collection and disbursement of moneys received until June, 1869, when he became incompetent by reason of…
