¶ 1. This is an interlocutory appeal from the denial of a motion to sever and transfer venue. Plaintiffs Hattie Douglas (“Douglas”), Kevin Hamlin, and the victim’s five siblings (collectively, “plaintiffs”) filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of Hinds County against Sunshine Medical Clinic; Dr. Vibha Vig, in her official and personal capacities; Lisa Hoehn, nurse practitioner, in her official and personal capacities (collectively “medical-negligence defendants”).
