MEMORANDUM DECISION

CHRISTENSEN, District Judge.

The petitioner, Kent Eugene Nielsen, is a prisoner in the Utah State Prison where he is serving a sentence imposed by the District Court of the State of Utah in and for Salt Lake County of “not less than five years, and which may be for life” 1 for the crime of robbery. Petitioner here seeks a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 United States Code § 2254 on the ground that he was not accorded his constitutional right to counsel when he entered a plea of guilty to the charge upon which he was sentenced.
