In separate indictments, William Eric Davis was charged with the murder of four persons in a head-on collision, in violation of § 13A-6-2, Code of Alabama 1975. The cases were consolidated for trial; the jury found Davis guilty on all 4 counts as charged in the indictments; and he was sentenced to 4 consecutive 30-year terms of imprisonment.
