Greenville Noble was indicted in the Circuit Court of Elliott County, Kentucky, for first degree murder, and was convicted by a jury on May 8, 1973. He was sentenced to life imprisonment on May 15, 1973, and on May 18, 1973, he appealed his conviction and sentence to the Kentucky Court of Appeals, which affirmed the conviction and sentence on February 15,1974.
