WILKINSON, Circuit Judge.

Tony Lee Thompson was indicted as a felon in possession of firearms under 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(g)(1), 924(e) (2000 & Supp. II). He pleaded guilty. When a defendant has at least three prior convictions for “violent felon[ies]” that were “committed on occasions different from one another,” § 924(e)(1), the Armed Career Criminal Act (“ACCA”), imposes a minimum sentence of fifteen years.
