Following a bench trial, the defendants, Bruce C. Bradney (Bruce) and Linda Bradney (Linda), were convicted of residential burglary (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 19 — 3) and theft over $300 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1985, ch. 38, par. 16 — 1). They appeal, contending: (1) evidence concerning the recovery of various items of stolen property from Linda Bradney’s automobile should have been suppressed because the stolen property was not seized pursuant to a search warrant or as part of a valid inventory search; (2) the State did not disprove their affirmative defense of voluntary intoxication…
