Introduction

¶ 1 This case, along with State v. DeJesus,1 requires us to apply the due process analysis *136we set forth in State v. Tiedemann,2 which addresses the due process rights of criminal defendants when evidence has been lost or destroyed. Defendant Khalid Mohamud was sentenced to an indeterminate term of one to fifteen years in prison for possessing a shank in prison.
