MELTON, Justice.
Following a jury trial, Kevin Ian Martin appeals his conviction for felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, contending, among other things, that the trial court admitted improper evidence and that he received ineffective assistance of counsel. For the reasons set forth below, we affirm.
