(dissenting) — The sole issue before us is whether Jimi T. Wright possesses the requisite good moral character for admission to the bar. New applicants have so amply demonstrated their good moral character or singular dedication to the high ideals of the profession than has Mr. Wright. I can only conclude that the majority's denial of his application is based on an unstated premise that a person convicted of a violent crime cannot be rehabilitated. I am otherwise unable to reconcile the denial with our past readiness to find that persons who once committed nonviolent, but dishonest,…
