STAHL, Circuit Judge.

Petitioner Matilde Recinos-Castillo (Re-cinos) appeals the denial of his petition for asylum and withholding of removal by the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). Finding that substantial evidence supported the determination that he has failed to demonstrate a nexus to a statutorily protected ground, we deny the petition for review.
