At about 8:30 o’clock on the night of September 3, 1929, plaintiff received injuries as the result of being struck and knocked down by a street car of defendant company. The car was proceeding on Tulane avenue towards Ram-, part street and plaintiff was attempting to cross the avenue from the upper side to the lower side. The accident occurred dt a point some 50 or 60 feet after the car had crossed Saratoga street, but within the space regularly used by pedestrians in crossing Tulane avenue at that point, and which space was marked by the usual white lines placed on the pavement hy the police…
