Plaintiff applied for Social Security Disability Insurance Benefits on October 8, 2002, alleging that he became disabled on August 20, 2001. The Social Security Administration denied Plaintiffs request for benefits initially. Upon Plaintiffs request, a hearing before an administrative law judge (“ALJ”) was held on November 30, 2004. The ALJ found that Plaintiff was not disabled; however, the Appeals Council subsequently granted review and remanded the case for a hearing before a second ALJ.
