¶ 1. Shirley Byrne appeals from a summary judgment motion granted by the Wayne County Circuit Court in favor of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. (Wal-Mart) and Andrew Lightsey. On November 2, 2000, Byrne filed a premises liability lawsuit against Wal-Mart and two of its employees, Andrew Lightsey and Jane Doe, to recover for injuries she allegedly sustained when she slipped on an unidentified substance, thought to be a cookie, causing injury to her back and knee.
