These appeals are from the judgments entered in three separate causes of action, all of which grow out of a controversy concerning the construction of “multi-layer pressure vessels.” 1 Although the case began as one for a declaratory judgment to define the limits of a patent held by A. O. Smith Corporation, with Hahn & Clay as the plaintiff, the posture at the time of trial was such that A. O.
