¶ 1. This is a case involving the custody of a male child who was three years old at the time of the divorce of his parents in 1995. The parties originally agreed to joint custody with the physical custody being approximately equally divided between the parents. In October of 1996, the mother, who had since remarried, filed a petition seeking to modify the physical custody arrangement.
