David Billy Parker, Jr. ("Defendant") appeals his jury convictions for two counts of armed robbery with a firearm and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Defendant argues three assignments of error: (1) his constitutional rights were violated when the trial court refused to allow the parties any peremptory challenges in selecting the two alternate jurors; (2) his constitutional rights were violated when the trial court removed a juror and replaced her with an alternate; and (3) his sentences for armed robbery are excessive under the circumstances.
