Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Westchester County (Colabella, J.), rendered October 29, 1987, convicting him of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, after a nonjury trial, and imposing sentence. The appeal brings up for review the denial of those branches of the defendant’s omnibus motion which were (1) to controvert a search warrant, without a hearing, and (2) to suppress statements made by him to law enforcement officials, after a hearing.
