On May 25, 2010, Dionne Davis and Darryl Davis, appellants, filed suit in the Circuit Court for Prince George’s County against Tania Nicole Little Martinez, appellee,1 for negligently causing an automobile accident. Martinez tendered the $20,000 limit of her liability insurance policy but the Davises’s underinsured motorist (“UIM”) policy carrier, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (“State Farm”), the other appellee, rejected this offer in order to preserve its subrogation rights.
