In this latest round of litigation under the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1051 et seq., and New York State common law, we again deal with claims and counterclaims by plaintiffs, United States Polo Association, Inc., since 1890 the governing body for the sport of polo in this country, and its licensing subsidiary, USPA Properties, Inc. (together, “USPA”); and defendants PRL USA Holdings, Inc. and L’Oreal USA, Inc. (together “PRL”), respectively the owner and exclusive licensee of trademarks of the Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation.
